The Undergraduate Course
This course is made up of a series of Videos of all the common skin conditions. It is available free to all medical Undergraduates who request access. You can register for access at www.studentskinconsult.com
There are around 15 videos, each about 30 mins long , covering all of both the common and medically important conditions in dermatology.
The course also has videos on Skin Cancer diagnosis and the medical management of some of the superficial skin cancer variants.
Course Details
The first five videos cover the common skin conditions of Psoriasis, Eczema and Fungal infections as well as a method of diagnosing skin diseases using 3 questions and 4 mnemonics.
The other course videos cover the spectrum of skin diseases including Emergency Dermatology and common skin cancers in a series of videos. Each lasts around 30 mins and presents skin disease in a visually stimulating way.
After graduation consider our Membership course
When you are in active clinical practice irrespective of your specialty you will find a working knowledge of skin diseases very useful. Physicians and General Practitioners are the main target audience of the Membership and Advanced Membership courses.
Subjects Covered
The videos cover all the common skin diseases and rarer disorders where recognising the skin disease can help in the diagnosis of the underlying medical problem including the propensity to internal malignancy.
The above rash is due to a T cell lymphoma of the skin. In red non scaly rashes like this you usually need a skin biopsy to arrive at the correct diagnosis.

Course Requirements
The course is open to all medical students who have an interest in Skin Diseases. It can also be made available to interested General Practitioners who wish to revise the subject..

The image above is of an ulcerating process called pyoderma gangrenosum. It is a neutrophilic dermatosis seen patients with inflammatory bowel diseases, Rheumatoid arthritis and some myeloid blood disorders. It is of rapid onset, painful with undermined edges and responds rapidly to oral steroids.
