There are Dermpath courses for different groups of Doctors

Course details can be found in the video below. The course material varies with the needs of the Doctors taking the course. Dermatopathology is a core subject in any dermatology course. The cost of the Specialist DermPath course is listed below. The Membership, Advanced Membership and Fellowship DermPath  courses are integrated into the fees for those courses and no extra fee is required to access them.

Details of Specialist DermPath Courses

The Membership course is a conventional  Dermpath course looking at reaction patterns in Inflammatory skin diseases and the histopathology of tumours by cell or adnexal structure of origin. Candidates will also take the Institute’s Membership course as this will provide the clinicopath correlation required in DermPath reporting and give the candidate a good understanding of the clinician’s perspective when biopsying a lesion or rash.

The course fee  is $3850. The Specialist DermPath course can be started at any time. It is self paced, with website, text and video material that you can complete in your own time.  However the best time to begin the course would be in early Feb to coincide with the commencement of the Membership Course. There is a formal online examination at the end of the course. The course will seek to cover the knowledge content required for the new RCPA “Diploma” in Dermatopathology
